Sightseeing

Curiouser and curiouser!  Draco was looking out through car window during all guys bonding time. Look how tall he is now. The ear tape was taken off for a while just to relax his ears. I think he appreciated it. He's been constantly shook his head and paw at them since we taped his ears, which shows that this is definitely not a nice process for him.

Also, we started giving him Calcium now. I've tried to get more information about this supplement generally and according to the instruction we shouldn't give more than 1 tablet daily.  But I'm not sure if this gonna be too much or not, seriously need to see a Vet!

1 week taped

Draco's ears without tape after 1 week, during re-taping time. They both kinda standing up already but his left ears a bit lean forward, so it doesn't look in same height. Sorry Draco, tape still gonna be there for at least another 1 month...   paw

Ear tapping

Someone was suppose to tapped Draco's ears last week, but somehow it never happened. Han told me that probably because I didn't give any money before, so my request kind of being ignored.. but that just some assumption.  Anyway, thanks to YouTube, we learnt how to do ear tapping for a Dobbie. There are quite a lot videos about this but we follow these 3 videos, here, here and here...

It wasn't a comfortable process at the beginning for us and Draco, but I think all of us get a hang of it after a couple of try. And this is the result, we probably need to practice more. paw

First day at new hometown

After a several visit,  I'm pretty sure Draco lost some weight and looks skinnier compare to the first day I met him at the RPX shed. We decided to get Draco out of quarantine one week earlier although this means additional cost. So, Draco was back in the cage and off he flew to his new home town in LLG. I took the same flight with him and saw all those crews taking him out from the plane when we touched down in BGKL.

After a couple of minutes taking care of Draco's release documents, finally Han could meet him face to face and hurry took him to the car to start the road trip to LLG.  They become good friends already.

We made a couple of stops so Draco could have a rest and took a little walk to stretch his legs and paws. We only feed him with some pet biscuits and lots of fresh water.

Personally I love the biscuits. I cant tell the name because everything was in Japanese, but the smell surely make me or any puppy will smile. It's a mix smell of milk, strawberry, lemon and cheese. And the taste is quite nice - I've tried :P

It took us about 4 hours drive to reach LLG. Draco looks really tired and after some pees and poos he finally sleep on a puffy bed in his new home.   paw

3rd day in Quarantine

Another visit to Quarantine. Draco looks much better now but still a little sad...

I met Dr. Enna, the Vet, today and discussed about Draco. She said luckily Draco doesn't have some eye discharge caused by infection like the other doberman dog there.

She told us that they giving all the puppies and dogs in Quarantine with dog food from Eukanuba. which is according to them a good brand for pet food. About the additional nutritions, she said  Nutrigel will be given twice a day for 2 weeks so Draco will get his strength back.

And for the ears, Heru the Nutritionist will do the ear tapping for us but he will only back at work on Thursday. Then after that we can start giving Draco some Vi-sorbits high in iron to help straighten his ears up.

So, we'll see in Thursday when Draco will have his ears tapped.   paw

Quarantine

We visited Draco yesterday in Quarantine.  He still in a cage but this time bigger. At least he could stand properly now...

I notice that his ears were flapping down, but because it was weekend I couldn't see any Vet.
There's a lot things need to discussed with the Vet, start for Draco's diet, his ears, vaccination, his health and overall mood. We are planning to get him out of the cage sooner if we think he has hard time adjusting himself there. paw

Arrive in Jakarta

After almost flying for 24 hours, Draco finally arrive in Jakarta. We received a call from the RPX shed and directly rush drive to the Airport to meet Draco for the first time.
He was quite tired from the look of it, because have to be in the small cage box for quite sometime. I could imagine that he wasn't too comfortable with the flight. Too bad we still couldn't take him out from the cage box.  He looks quite tall now.. he grew up so fast in just one month!

Agustinus Bok helped us during this process. I could see that he is really professional and care about his job bringing Draco in to Jakarta. Although a bit late because of the traffic, he canceling his trip to out of town just to make sure Draco didn't have to stay longer waiting in the RPX shed. So after adding his food and water, lots of little pats on his head and neck, RPX sent him off to the Quarantine department at the same night.   paw
